'i carry your heart with me'

i carry your heart with me (i carry it in
my heart) i am never without it (anywhere
i go you go,my dear; and whatever is done
by only me is your doing,my darling)
i fear
no fate (for you are my fate,my sweet) i want
no world (for beautiful you are my world,my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows
higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart

i carry your heart (i carry it in my heart)

I ♥ ERGO

*The opinion expressed in this blog is my own and I am in no way affiliated with ERGObaby although I bloody well should be!*

I LOVE our Ergo carrier. I can say that without a doubt it is the single best investment/purchase we have made since Avalon was born. I only wish I had bought it earlier than we did at 5 months old (previous to that we used a babaling and babybjorn.)

My husband and I carry Avalon everywhere we go, so much so, our pushchair that we spent so much time researching (it was like buying a car I tell you) has sat collecting dust in our house for the past 7 months, apart from one trip to IKEA where I thought the pushchair would be easier with large purchases--- WRONG.

We find it so much easier to carry her (even at 11kgs in weight.) To have my hands free and use the stairs. It has a handy carry pocket too that I can fit a muslin, lip balm, keys, money etc in.

After forking out money for both the babasling and the babybjorn I really dragged my feet on buying an Ergo, even after hearing the rave reviews from friends. It retails for about 100.00GBP and to me that seemed like alot of money, but the carrier has more than paid for itself.

The Ergo has padded shoulders and a supportive waist strap, it also distributes her weight evenly. It can be used from birth up to 18kgs so it really is all the carrier you need. It amazes even I how light she feels in it and  I have remarked many a time that it is easier to carry Avalon now than in the last few weeks of pregnancy.

She sleeps in it a dream too; as I type this, she is asleep on me in it and has been for an hour and a half thus allowing me to get on with my day (like have some lunch and reply to emails.)

It is better for her hips and spine as she is 'seated' in it as opposed to dangling from her crouch like in the babybjorn and other carriers most commonly seen in stores. I only wish more people knew there was more available in carriers for babywearing than the babybjorn. Thanks to my on-line friends, I have seen so many beautiful and worthwhile carriers and wraps.

I love that when she is awake, she can see all that we do from the security of our arms. As she has gotten older, Grant prefers to carry her in the side position and as she gets heavier she will move to the back carry position.

I recommend it to anyone and everyone. Whenever I hear a friend is expecting I tell them to get and Ergo, it is the best thing we ever did. It calms her, soothes her, and I can breastfeed in it too, not to mention simple to get on and off.
